Portugal: traveling with your hands in the dough

The Algarve is the southernmost region of Portugal. It is a unique place in the world, thanks to its 150 kilometers of coastline overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The best way to admire these unique places, where stretches of sand alternate with sheer cliffs, is to treat yourself to a few days in contact with its unspoiled and wild nature.

A journey to protect the environment

For those who want to get in close contact with the land, its scents and enchanting sunsets, the sustainably designed and organized trip is definitely the best way.

We not only reduce negative impacts at the destination but invite you to take an extra step toward regenerative travel. That small extra step is a crucial first gesture toward real change that we, along with all those who are joining, are committed to bringing about in the way we travel by actively increasing the well-being of our communities and our host place. We are keen to make the journey also an inner revolution of each individual traveler, who can return enriched through awareness through encounters, exchanges with people and concrete actions.

Today we are telling you about Portugal as it is here that we are proud to present a trip inextricably linked to a local association with which we are collaborating to support the project that aims to promote and protect the Alentejo coast and the Ruta Vicentina.

The Ruta Vicentina is a relatively recent path full of charm and history that has become passable since 2013. About 260 km long, it passes through a series of small villages still founded on the traditions of yesteryear; here life seems to have stopped many years ago.

Investing in the natural and cultural values of sustainable and regenerative travel is always a unique and profound experience, allowing you to support small businesses throughout the year, help protect the environment, and connect people from all over the world with the authentic reality of an area rich in personality.

On your trip to Portugal you can actively participate by reconstructing the exterior of a VXth century hermitage, or by cleaning up and making accessible the Ruta Vicentina route and meet Beatriz who has opened a small artisanal chocolate shop in the picturesque village of Odemira, located in the Baixo Alentejo and washed by the Mira River. Odemira’s chocolate shop is really tiny, with no big machines and where manual labor predominates.
